Let's be clear. If it was revealed that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi knew a member of her caucus had sent sexually suggestive emails to a minor, the right half of the Cheddarsphere would be in overdrive right now. How this underscores the moral rot of the Democrats. How they can't be trusted with anything. How these people have to go. Etc.
Jessica McBride would have penned something like this:
Ask your liberal friends what they think about this.
So it's strange the total silence that's greeted the blockbuster revelation that House Majority leader John Boehner has known for almost a year that disgraced Rep. Mark Foley had engaged in exactly such a manner. It's even more odd that Boehner changed his about contacting Speaker Denny Hastert. First he said he did. Now he says he didn't.
Clearly, Boehner and other members of the Republican establishment were delinquent. Clearly fi they had D's behind their names, Sykes, McBride and the whole MSM (Milwaukee's stupider media) crew would be calling for their resignations.
The Brawler will not say right now that the MSM is moral hypocites. But he will be interested to see how they respond. He's particularly interested in how Paddy Putzmeister Mack will address the issue. Paddy has bewailed the Church sex abuse scandal. While he deplores the sin, he deplores the punishment as well. It's cost the Church a fair chunk of coin (perhaps a couple thousand Haily Marys and Glory Bes would cover it) for sins committed a long time ago.
But in this case, the abuses are still recent. The people who winked and nodded are still in power. Will the MSM call for an accountability moment?
