Charlie Sykes, reliably, gave credence to Heinemann's blaming their closing, in part, on the sick-day ordinance.
The Brawler would note that Heinemann's has been steadily closing restaurants for a variety of reasons for a number of years and before the current recession.
And when -- as is the case with Heinemann's -- lenders are taking over your assets and other creditors are waiting in line, a sick-day ordinance doesn't crack a top 25 list of problems.
But the foolish sick pay ordinance doesn't make employers challenges any easier either - now does it. It could be in the top 10.
It's as foolish for you to write it off as meaningless as it is for those who emphasisze it.
