Xoff, In Effect and Folkbum all neatly dispatch Tuesday's Journal Sentinel piece about a study from the Fordham Foundation that dissed Wisconsin education standards.
The Brawler would only note that the piece was written by JS vet Alan J. Borsuk, who more than once has been a sympathetic conduit for conservative think tanks and the supposed thinkers who reside there.
For just one example, he penned a recent piece about a Wisconsin Policy Research Institute study that claimed the teacher residency rule was hurting Milwaukee's public schools. Curiously, he failed to note that WPRI was a relentless critic of public education.
Bruce Murphy, you may recall, absolutely shredded the piece, wondering whether Borsuk even read beyond the executive summary.
