Far be it from the Brawler to suggest that the Steve Kagen campaign engage in push polling in their effort to put John Gard back on the farm. But if they were, here's a potential question (needs to be finessed by focus groups of course):
John Gard has received $10,000 from the Republican House Majority Leader, the same man who did nothing after he learned another Republican Congressman had sent sexually suggestive emails to at least one teenage boy. How do you feel about that?
John Gard, of course, received 10 large from John Boehner's Freedom Project.
Harsh? Sure. Reality-based? Absolutely. The people of the 8th might have an opinion on this? Think so.
What would Karl Rove do?
Maybe an enterprising reporter will ask Gard whether he thinks Boehner should resign over this inaction -- and maybe not even be satisfied by a "no comment" or "inappropriate to respond."
Gard also got $5k from Hastert's PAC. Hastert's as dirty in this mess as Boehner is. Not to mention Gard took $2k from John Shimkus, the Republican on the House Page Board who also aided in the cover-up.

Oh, and $10,000 from Reynolds, who is NRCC chair and was the first elected Republican to be told of Foley's problems.
