Jessica McBride -- who described Michael McGee's recent landslide election thusly: "Then again, that’s Milwaukee 6th District. Thugs voted for a thug" -- tries to take a more nuanced tack in discussing race in her blog.
It doesn't go too well:
Secondly, I am so sick of the liberal groupthink that all minorities think alike - or are supposed to think alike. So no minorities are allowed to support the handcuffs?
Again - people get all up in arms about the wrong things in this community. Meanwhile, all of the courageous minority folks who tried to oust McGee, that goes nowhere.
Ah, dem courageous minority folks!
What a wordsmith! What a thinker!
Could someone please diagram this sentence:
Meanwhile, all of the courageous minority folks who tried to oust McGee, that goes nowhere.
What is "that" referring to, exactly?
Why is Jessica McBride teaching journalism?
