The Fort Dix terrorism plot, which if it follows the record of other domestic plots by purported terrorists will be considerably less fearsome than initially described, prompts Jessica to ask this question (some of the alleged perps were Kosovar Muslims):

REVISITING THE BALKANS IN THE WAKE OF FORT DIX
Did Bill Clinton go to war on the wrong side in the Balkans? (remember we fought for the Muslims)
Revisiting Mr. Clinton's intervention in an ethnic civil war.
In an effort to apparently tie Clinton's name to an alleged domestic terrorist threat, McBride manages to convey volumes of ignorance in impressively few words.
For instance, whose "side' should we have been on in the Balkans, Jessica -- and what do you mean by the Balkans? Should we have helped Milosevic in his effort to ethnically cleanse Kosovo? Heck, should we have helped the Orthodox Serbs kill and deport Bosnian Muslims? Should we have helped them murder and deport Roman Catholic Croats as well? Or should we have helped the Roman Catholic Croats in their own impressive drive of murder against the Serbs and Muslims. Isn't Steven Biskupic of Croatian descent?
Should we have provided intelligence to the Serbs when they slaughtered the people of Srebrenica? Maybe then they could have used our atellite imagery instead of dogs to hunt down and kill men and boys hiding in the forest.
Just think, we could have helped with this!
Sometimes Jessica's ignorant commentary or diction makes for good humor. Whallah. Otherwords. This post simply horrifies. And her obvious ignorance of what happened in the Balkans doesn't excuse it. If anything, it makes it more repulsive.
The Brawler suggests that McBride read an actual history of what happened in the Balkans instead of knuckledragging web sites that portray Bosnia as another front in the war on terror (and yes, obviously violent radical Islamists showed up in Bosnia because, you know, Christians were killing Muslims for land and power). The Brawler suggests that she read Joe Sacco's Safe Area: Gorazde. The fact that it's a comic book should make it easier for her. The fact that it contains woodcut-worthy images of what ethnic cleansing would look like -- children's throats getting slit, children being hurled off bridges -- should give her something to think about.
Again, why is Jessica McBride, who obviously knows nothing of the world around her, teaching journalism at UW-m?
This comment from McBride is beyond the pale.
