Fact: Acorn – after performing due diligence and no doubt a lot of work – finds that up to 300 of those are bogus.
Fact: Rather than burying the fake registrations (as if they were, I don't know, White House e-mails), Acorn alerts authorities to what happened
.
Fact :Milwaukee’s right wing reveals its utter cynicism – and contempt for the intelligence of its audience – by insisting this shows the left is committed to committing voter fraud.
Charlie Sykes – who may be a liar an idiot, or, perhaps, both – kicked off Thursday's morning show talking about this. “Just the smallest tip of the iceberg!” cried the defender of the most corrupt and inept administration in our lifetime, who doesn’t need evidence to make such claims as his show is merely entertainment.
And he was in prime clown form as he warned his audience about the “potential at least for significant fraud” – despite the fact this damned leftist group, which is at the “locus of fraud,” turned in the fraudsters. The fact that Acorn busted the bad apples doesn’t faze him in the least. “They hired them in first place.” Huh? “Obviously now they’re going to say we’re on top of this, don’t look at us.” But they were – when they could have just buried the problem. No good deed goes unpunished, the Brawler supposes.
Sykes repeated standard talking points pertaining to the myth of organized voter fraud, attacking Dems for opposing photo ID and declaring that the people who follow the rules are the victims of nonexistent “significant fraud.” It’s the fans of Charlie Sykes who risk getting their votes stolen!
Referring to bogus registrations, Sykes said “If this story hadn’t [run] today, what do you think the chances are those votes would have been stolen come November.” Charlie says 100%. The Brawler says 0% because those names weren’t going on the rolls! And even if those names had been no one would have shown up to vote under said names.
Charlie Sykes promises that he’ll be harping on this story and the issue of voter fraud all the way to the election, dramatic assertion trumping evidence as it does so often in Sykesland.
Patrick McIlheran on Sunday wrote this about conservative talk radio:
The claim that talkers angrify America doesn’t, with the exception of a few outliers, withstand an hour’s listening. Most talk is more smirky than mad.
Sorry, Patrick. Actually, Sykes’ insistence on the existence of massive voter fraud – despite the fact that no such thing has been found – and vilifying a lefty group for doing the right thing qualifies as angrifying Milwaukee County. It’s a libel. It's demagoguery of the basest kind.
"It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant," Dear Leader Obama said, referring to the GOP's idiotic attack on the efficacy of properly inflated tires. That, however, is nothing compared to the Milwaukee Right's insistence that a lefty group busting potential fraudsters suggests they were committing fraud.
You really didn't need to add the "on voter fraud" part of the title.
