The Brawler recalls a tempest of controversy in 2006 when the State Elections Board followed the law and ordered Mark Green to dump donations from out-of-state political action committees. The reason? Email records showed that a lawyer for the Doyle campaign urged Dems on the SEB to take that course.
J.B. Van Hollen claims he filed his voter-check lawsuit out of a concern for the letter of the law -- not out of a desire to get John McCain elected.
If that's the case, he should be willing to turn over all his phone and email records to reveal that he received absolutely no lobbying from the Republican Party of Wisconsin on this issue. Such disclosure would demonstrate that he truly is acting as an impartial upholder of the law and not a partisan hack. He has nothing to hide, right?
And I'm sure that the Journal Sentinel already is investigating this...right?
Organized voter fraud in Wisconsin -- as opposed to felons voting, etc., -- is about illusory as terrorist training camps in western Wisconsin. Despite RPW efforts to have people believe otherwise.
