When last Wisconsin saw her, Sarah Palin spoke at a Wisconsin Right to Life fundraiser (how much was she paid?). While Charlie Sykes, the thrice-married paragon of family values, raved about her performance (and her looks, natch!) she apparently failed to bring the crowd to its feet with rhetorical flourishes like this:
“It is so bogus that society is sending a message right now and has been for probably the last 40 years that a woman isn’t strong enough or smart enough to be able to pursue an education, a career and her rights and still let her baby live.”
But Wisconsin may see more of her, threatens failed Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman (and Michael Steele transition chair) Reince Priebus:
The performance of President Barack Obama is also expected to influence the race. Priebus said he would welcome a visit by Sarah Palin.
It is of course appropriate that the demonstratedly incompetent teabagger County Executive Scott Walker would be represented by a prima donna quitter like Sarah Palin.
But it's also wildly amusing that Republicans think that a divisive figure like Palin -- read, all but true believers think she's an incompetent nutjob -- would be a boon in a state trending Democratic as Wisconsin is. Almost amusing as Patrick McIlheran's smug insinuation Barrett would be hurt by Obama campaigning for him.
